Breadth (12 pcs)
In Art 3 students will create a Breadth Portfolio.
Breadth means“wide range” so you’ll need to show a variety of concepts, techniques, and media. These will include, but are not limited to, landscapes, still lifes, portraits, perspective, observation, and personal interests. These works should be experimentation with media, style, and technique. No more than 4 works may be created using the same media. Change up the sizes of your works as well. Don't be afraid to try different things! Work may be no larger than 18" x 24".
*Some pieces may be used in the AP Art and Design ‘’Selected Works’’ portfolio.
A Breadth Portfolio should include the following:
•Composition
•Range of values
•Range of mediums (at least 4)
•Figure drawing
•Personal Voice
•Different textures (how well can you create them?)
•Color Theory (not straight from the box)
